No time to stand and listen,
When woods we pass,
The tweeting and chattering of many birds.

No time to watch at dawn,
When the lilies and tulips blossom their beautiful colours.

No time to see in broad daylight,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to notice the loamy worms,
As they tunnel their way underground.

No time to observe just at sunset,
When the sun suddenly transforms into a golden yellow ball,
Spreading its warmness round the sky.

No time to see in sunshine bright,
The streams full of stars like skies in the night.

No time to observe the clouds,
Tumbling here and there portraying their fantastic views.

No time to perceive the aroma of grass,
Deep evergreen leaves, trees plush with leaves abound.

No time to stare in awe,
The rainbow arcing across the skies,
Sharing its radiant hues.

No time to remember the smell of summer flowers,
With bright colours all around.

No time to gaze at the mountains covered with snow,
Shining like the crowns of silver.

No time to stare at the deep blue sea,
When its spluttering waves crash unto the beach ever and anon.

No time to gaze at nighttime,
The skies filled with fireflies,
Each sharing a twinkling light.

The world is too much for us,
Little we see in nature that is ours,
Obsessed are we with material things,
Deriving pleasure from the pursuit of many things.

Yet the happiness nature has given us,
We seemed not to acknowledge,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers,
What then is this life, if full of nature and
We have no time to stand and stare.
