285th Weekly Poetry Contest winner: Came Dusk

by ter20

The night had removed me the linen sheets that covered my nudity
and exposed the stars, the moon, and Venus.
It was an exploration of the universe that lay before you.
You traced the ancient paths of comets and dug craters deep
and deeper-
into my core.
It was blazing-
and we scintillated with sweat.
You pulled out and laid on the Earth.
Until the sun-god drove his chariot
and you disappeared
like a shadow.

It is day.
