Against Laurentia's Painted Tawny Face

Against Laurentia's painted tawny face.

A CESIAS , Aglaophon and Asclepiodorus,
Micon, Nealees, Pamphilus, Bubalus,
Zeuxis, Neciarchus, Pauseas, Cephisodorus
Cleophantus, Colotes, Apelles, Bupalus,
Androbius, Philoxenus, Parthasius, Protogenes,
All which makes twenty with Nichophanes:
These painters were, but were they now aliue,
To paint Laurentines face would be to seeke
(Which she doth paint) though they in skill did striue
With art and coulors to paint out her like,
For more then al the coulors on the ground
In her pease-porredge-tawny face is found.
