Shall I come back to you? Or will you go

‘Shall I come back to you? Or will you go
Into my world more early?’ Then say I:
‘Your world, my child, we soon enough must know,
And much have I to do before I die.
For every day the fools more numerous grow,
And who can smite them swifter 'neath the sky?
So you shall come to me, my sweet, my sweet,
Treading an untrod path with fairy feet.’
